1:55 PM | Closing Keynote: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Self-Advocacy

Presenting with Dr. Nathaniel Woods.

Research shows that approximately 25%, 1 in 4 children, experiences a significant traumatic event by four years old (Hydon, et al., 2015). To effectively serve and lead, we must learn how to approach others from a trauma-informed perspective. We must recognize how our personal traumatic experiences influence how we view the world. Last, we must apply positive coping mechanisms to move forward in life. In 30 minutes, we’ll discover a practical approach to serving others.
